SafeAssign is now integrated into regular Blackboard Learn assignments. With the integration between SafeAssign and regular assignments, almost all of the regular assignment features are available with the SafeAssign service. There is no more creating a separate SafeAssign – you won’t see the option to add one when you go to Assessments and try to add it. If you had a Safe Assignment set up in your course – you will need to edit it and select the Submission Options that you want to use.
Save time at the end of the semester and use Blackboard’s Grade Center to help you calculate your final grades. Contact CIT for help using this useful tool in Blackboard to streamline the grading process.

Online Learning Consortium Workshops
CIT has purchased an OLC Workshop Pass to promote excellence in online learning at NECC. The CIT staff have participated in many of the courses offered and now we’d like to offer faculty a chance to participate! OLC workshops enable colleagues worldwide to collaborate cost effectively with peers and experts via synchronous and asynchronous methods for effective and engaging learning. They are committed to modeling best practices for online learning in all of the workshops.
Would you like to make your online or hybrid course more effective and user friendly? On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, we will offer the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Workshop for the 2nd time. The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is Quality Matter’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. Rick and Sue will be facilitating the workshop and are excited to work with faculty to look closely at improving their online courses – making for a better student experience!
