Annual NECC Conference on Teaching & Learning

NECC's Technology Center, Haverhill Campus

The Teaching and Learning Center is pleased to host this year’s Conference on Teaching & Learning.

Ideas NECC is a new concept for our Annual Conference on Teaching and Learning. The intention is to provide a unique, fast-paced dissemination of new ideas and innovations for teaching and support of student learning at NECC.

Faculty and staff will present their latest innovative ideas and practices in a fast-paced format (15-minutes) that combines succinct and lively presentations, artistic breaks, and time for conversation and discussion with colleagues.

We will all come together for the day in the Technology Center conference area and share what we expect to be an important and creative experience for the college community.

The Teaching and Learning Taskforce invites proposals for presentations in two different tracks:

TRACK ONE: Teaching and Learning

  • Proposals can focus on any classroom pedagogy, activity, special interest or project in any discipline or academic program or support service.
  • Presentation may include more than one person, but must be no more than 15-minutes in length.
  • Technology will be made available to support presentations.

TRACK TWO: Artistic

  • Artitistic presentations might include: music, poetry, monologues, audio-visual, etc.
  • Presentations must be no more than 5-minutes and may include more than one person.
  • Set-up must be fairly simple.
  • We will have a piano set up in advance.

Proposal Deadline:

  • All proposals must be submitted by November 30th.
  • Proposals will be reviewed on December 10th.
