The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is Quality Matter’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. You will learn how to create a more student-centered online course by using the QM rubric and completing a self-review of your course. The workshop will be facilitated by Sue Tashjian and Rick Lizotte from CIT, the 2nd week of February. It is a 7.5 hour workshop that will likely be two evenings or one Saturday based on participant availability. After completion of Part One, you will receive a $200 stipend. This is a voluntary professional development opportunity.
Those who complete the workshop will have the opportunity to continue to the official “Peer Reviewer Certification” course offered through Quality Matters (the PRC is an online workshop designed to follow the APPQMR workshop). Participating in these workshops and serving on a peer review team are excellent professional development opportunities and qualify you to become part of a team of national peer reviewers.
